Biligiriiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Rangayyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

With the famous song in kannada reverberating in my ears, My Journey towards "B.R.Hills" the ultimate destination started from the base camp i.e. my company's courtyard :)

Biligiriiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Rangayyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

The journey started with the usual photo shots and everyone settled down in the vehicle arranged. After some time it became clear that couple of groups has already formed as it happens in every outing or tour, one the "sound and horn group" (the Gana Mandali) and the other "No horn Please" group. I became the part of the gana mandali...It was total fun all the way with gana mandali churning out some very good numbers and not to forget the famous remixes for which we are all in-depth to Himesh Reshemya :).Then followed a death like silence with everyone gone asleep ultimately woken up a sudden stop at the foothills of B R Hills.

Biligiri Rangana betta (B.R.Hills) falls under the satyamangala range in the western ghats.Other famous hills in the same region are Male-Madeshwara (MM Hills) & Gopal Swamy Hills (GS Hills).Maybe we can plan to visit them in our forthcoming treks.
Common thing about all the hills are that they are all religious spot. Dig into the link to the link to know more.

Time 04:45

With everyone woken up and with the news trickling inn that we had reached very early and need to wait for an Hour or so to be allowed into the forest, All started to flex there muscles in there own way, with PJ's in full flow, some playing cards, some deciding to climb the welcome arch, some even telling they will walk to the destination and also the usual photo shots.

Time 06.00

Right on time the gate was opened, our vehicle roared towards the camp not expecting to see the real Roar king "The Tiger”. Since I was sitting in the front seat and could see the road right ahead, I saw this majestic figure crossing the road cool and calmly...What a Majestic walk! I shouted out to others to see the magnificent beast. After crossing it looked back towards our vehicle, I will not forget the intensity in its eyes for a long time. Some people even joked that we saw the ultimate one so the trip ends here :)

We reached K.Gudi which will be our base camp in B.R.Hills for the next two days.
We were greeted by people in charge over there and we exchanged pleasantries and the of course the exciting news of spotting the Tiger. It seems that few of them have spotted the beast 2 or 3 times in 5 years...We are the lucky onessssssssss.

With the accommodations not yet provided some people slept on the couch and some went to fresh up. Now comes the best part, all of them regrouped to take part in the Famous "Nature Walk" :).With excitement filled the air the whole troupe followed the guide who took the group along the down hill road ,out came all the cam's and the photo shots started again, nothing was spared ,the tree, leaves, flowers, hills & of course us. The "Nature walk" came to a grinding halt and the guide decided to take us back to the base camp, which pissed off few people in the group.(Kya mamu banaya)

Back in the camp everyone took some much needed rest after the "the nature walk" (some even referred as 'Natural walk') and looking forward to the evening safari.
In between we had been to the shrine of B.R.hills and sought god's blessings.
One of member popped up the question of why you always find a shrine at the very top of the hills.Some possibilities might be that god will be able to see his devotees from such high point, he wants his disciples & devotees to toll hard to reach him.
The food offered for lunch was pretty good. Tent No 7 became the adda bursting with activites with so called offline conversations :) which became part of the whole trip.

The jungle safari was the best part with us spotting animals in there natural habitat, with some people came across wild elephants & sloth bear. Other species seen were spotted dear, sambar, Indian Gaur (bison), wild boar, barking deer and serpentine eagle.
At the end of the safari we came to know from the walkie talkie that one of the Jeeps had broke down (same as "Kaal" movie style), but they were able to crank it up and all of us came back to the base camp.

Again adda (Tent 7) started bursting again with offline discussions & of course distribution of the divine syrup. It was followed by camp fire arranged, with divine sayings such as "how do u do" & "limelight" --> light without a lime. Listing to that the clouds burst open and started raining. The day ended with us savoring hot delicious food with ambience of forest and rain.

Day two started with an early morning coffee, and me running to catch up with others for the early morning Jungle safari arranged. With few spotting of animals this time round we are back to the base. Someone asked what I spotted for which I replied that “I didn’t see them & they didn’t see me .Maybe they will show up only in UK timings :) :)

The day went on with other activities such as elephant ride & a 3km jungle trek. Some bird enthusiasts spotted some species of birds. It seems that B.R.Hill is home for some 100+ bird species. Small piece information is that elephants tamed here also take part in the famous Dasara procession in Mysore.

After a good lunch we started our journey back to our office courtyard, with the usual chai breaks :) in the middle of the journey. All in all the tour was fantastic, made new friends, and came to know others.

The last but not the least, the list of dialogues of the trip..

Lets go in and ?

How do you do

Light without lime (limelight)

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, the birds will come in...
